The Materials Coordinator works across the Materials Department at Sky Vision (BSkyB's international distribution business) which is at the centre of all acquisitions, tracking and managing all programme materials.
This role requires a proficient knowledge and understanding of delivery materials for the purpose of international distribution including technical, legal and marketing materials. Also, as this role is split between our Osterley and Chorleywood sites, a degree of flexibility is required.
•Manage Sky Vision's materials for acquisitions, from both Sky and 3rd party producers.
•Liaise with external production companies and Sky departments regarding delivery of technical, legal and marketing materials for all Sky Vision's acquisitions.
•Track and log deliveries, working to contractual delivery dates and market deadlines.
•Liaise regularly with Technical Services team to ensure full and timely delivery of programmes and programme materials, alerting appropriate Sales, Finance and Legal teams to any substantial variations.
•Liaise regularly with Sales to ensure they are aware of materials availability and delivery issues.
•Ensuring delivery and clearance of all materials needed for any markets, exhibitions or conferences (e.g. MIP or MIPCOM).
•Working closely with marketing and PR teams at Sky Vision and the Sky channels to arrange delivery of materials.
•Liaise with Sky Vision's production team regarding in-house produced programming that will be distributed by Sky Vision.
•Working with acquisitions executive and production management to schedule edit time for promos, clips etc. for markets.
•Accurate recording of programme deliverables on Sky Vision's rights management system -with all relevant departments kept up to date with any modifications.
•Familiarity with TV programme delivery requirements and materials, including Post-Production
•Experience, Preferably at a TV programme distributor, of coordinating delivery of complex technical materials to deadlines
•Experience working with Producers, Editors and Broadcasters is desirable
•Experience of television programme market events would be desirable
•Knowledge and experience of Marketing Department processes and timelines
•Confident communicator, both formally and informally, via spoken and written methods
•Adaptable and flexible approach to problem solving
•Excellent attention to detail and accuracy - using methodical approach to ensure all aspects of a task or project are anticipated and dealt with.
