Operations Manager, Assessment and Operations Group

Salary: circa £37,000
Location: Cambridge

What it's about

We have a vacancy at Operations Manager level in the Assessment and Operations Group. In this interesting and varied role you will be initially responsible for various processing areas within Operations.

These are exciting times for the Group as we are currently modernising our systems and processes. We are looking for experienced, enthusiastic, dynamic and customer-focused individuals who will thrive in this changing environment.

What you'll be doing

This role encompasses a range of tasks and responsibilities. Reporting to a Senior Operations Manager, you will:
• Manage the delivery of key parts of the test processing cycle through a range of agreed processes, ensuring that rigorous standards and procedures are followed in the delivery of tests
• Manage your responsible Operations Support Managers and Senior Operations Administrators through an agreed set of deadlines, providing reports on progress and coaching and mentoring as required
• To make operational decisions to ensure that processes meet Cambridge English standards
• To develop and maintain a culture of systematic process review looking to standardise and homogenize processes as much as possible therefore maximising process efficiency, cost effectiveness and flexibility of resource
• Maintain and establish effective liaison between key stakeholders across the organisation
• To lead and manage process reviews, focussing on the future development of new services and systems

What we're looking for

You should have strong leadership and team-building skills, experience of managing resources effectively and the ability to think strategically, whilst working under pressure to demanding deadlines. You should also have experience of managing large projects and systems developments.

You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent). A detailed knowledge of the Cambridge English product range and the examination production cycle is desirable. You will also possess excellent PC skills, particularly MS Word, Excel Access and Outlook.
